Las expectativas ante el regreso de los titanes británicos del industrial Godflesh no podían ser más altas tras las declaraciones de Justin K. Broadkick en la que adelantaba una «vuelta a las raíces» y a un sonido más brutal y minimalista. Ahora, ya conocemos un poco más los detalles de este trabajo que está previsto que se edite en septiembre de este año.
Finalmente no se titulará A World Lit By Fire como inicialmente se planteaba sino Decline & Fall y tendrá formato de EP. Estará formado por cuatro temas más dos bonus tracks para la edición japonesa. Por otro lado, según en una reciente entrevista del grupo a la radio Le 106, Justin K. Broadkick ha comentado que el disco será bastante similar a los dos/tres primeros trabajos del grupo, con un «sonido agresivo y minimalista».

Which, I think, like most bands and musicians and all the rest of it, by the time you get on to your fourth album, it’s somewhat of a dilution going on to what you initially tried to achieve. It will definitely sound aggressive and it probably won’t sound like any of the other records we’ve made, but it will have the minimalism of the first few records.»
